Tiger 3 Collection Day 1 shows that the movies has got great response at theatres on its Diwali release, the third instalment in the Tiger franchise, has roared its way to the top of the box office, becoming Salman Khan’s biggest opener ever.
Tiger 3 released on Diwali, collected an impressive ₹43 crore on its first day in India. The film is directed by Maneesh Sharma and stars Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Emraan Hashmi. The film is a high-octane action thriller that follows the adventures of Tiger (Khan), a RAW agent who is tasked with protecting India from a dangerous terrorist group.

Tiger 3 opening collection has made it Salman Khan’s highest opener (₹43 crore) leaving behind his period drama Baharat which was released in 2019, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar made ₹42.30 crore and Sooraj Barjatya’s 2015 family drama Prem Ratan Dhan Payo which made ₹40.35 crore on opening day was also released on Diwali. Tiger 3 is also third highest opener for Katrina Kaif after Thugs of Hindustan and Bharat.
Producers Reaction to Tiger 3 Successful Start
In an interview to India Today, YRF distribution head Rohan Malhotra said, “Had we followed the conventional way, we would have released the film on Republic Day, where we were definitely assured a certain number. But at YRF, we focused on the lifetime business of the film and we came a day earlier. It worked like a dream. We got insane numbers. It came from a simple belief that we had made a good film with a superstar, Shah Rukh Khan and Adi, and all of us at YRF believed in his stardom.”
Audience Response and Review
Audience response is in splits as many of did not like the film rating it an average one. On other hand many of Salman Khan fan’s took to the X (Twitter) praising the film and declaring it as a “Best action film of all time.” Several film critics also coming forward praising the film form its action pack sequences and story telling. Film critic Aijaz Hussian took to the X that ‘Tiger 3’ is the best action movie of all time.
He wrote, “#Tiger3 Review: The film very much starts straight into the theme of the story without wasting no time. The action is where the film is levels above, not only spy film but also considering indian movies in the past. Very fast paced from start to the end.”

Earlier to Tiger 3′s release, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif shared posts on their Instagram asking fans to not reveal spoilers, they wrote, “We have made Tiger 3 with a lot of passion and we are counting on you to protect our spoilers when you see the film. Spoilers can ruin the movie-watching experience. We trust you to do what is right. We hope Tiger 3 is the perfect Diwali gift from us to you!! Releasing in cinemas tomorrow in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.” Respecting their request following is our final review.
Tiger 3 is action packed well written story with plenty of room for twists. But at part of execution its not the same, the VFX needs improvement. Action sequences are no doubt top notch, while some sequences seem to be inspired from hollywood movies. The background score does not make that much impact specially in absence of Emraan Hashmi. The randomness can be felt during middle of the movie. After interval its a strong, octane powered action pack spy movie. Overall we rate it 3.5/5.
